What is A Dental Abscess?

It is a dental infection, often an accumulation of pus that generally originates from a bacterial infection

There are three types of abscesses: Gingival, Periodontal and Periapical.

They are normally limited to gum, tissue or root although if left untreated dental abscesses can spread to mouth, throat face and jaw.
